XIC Alumni Siddharth Sarma (JR 03) is an Indian English Novelist / Journalist, Writer. He is the author of "The Grasshopper's Run" which has been published by Scholastic. Bloomsbury UK also has bought the book for international publication, making it the first young adult novel from India to be brought by an International publisher.

The Grasshopper’s Run, (2009) is a racy, dramatic war novel based in 1944 in the North-east and Myanmar, aimed at young readers.
